MAC Cosmetics for Free!

If you buy smart, you basically get some of your MAC makeup for free!

Here's how I can say that...

If you buy MAC Powder Blush "Prism" at a department store or at one of the retail online places like Amazon, you will pay $18.50 or more. If you buy through Makeup-Discounters, you can often find that same MAC Powder Blush for $10.00 (or less).  That's a crazy 66% discount. The $8.50 you save on just that one order could be used to buy a MAC Kohl Eye Pencil, and still have change in your pocket. It's like getting the Eye Pencil for free and STILL saving money!

The savings don't end there.

I'm a big fan of the MAC Studio Stick Foundation which is easily $70 at Amazon. If you haven't tried this amazing foundation, you really should. It is a great concealer, but doesn't look or feel heavy. Here at Makeup-Discounters you will often find this same foundation for $15.00 (or less).  That's an incredible 78% savings! You could buy FOUR foundation sticks here and STILL have money left over.

When you think about how those sorts of savings add up month after month on the products you buy time and time again, you would be crazy to buy anywhere else!

Does Mineral Makeup Really Make a Difference?

If you've heard about minerak makeups, but have not yet decided to try them, you really must try them at least once.
That is, use a mineral make-up for one day and check out the difference. If you don't find them any better than the normal make-up that you have been using, then don't make the switch. But I think you'll find that once you try the mineral formulas, you'll be hooked.
Mineral make-up has become popular and is being recommended by more than a few dermatologists. While some of the claims are outrageous and haven't really been tested long term (like whether sleeping in mineral make is not harmful as some have claimed) it is clear from all the buzz that mineral makeup formulas are the hottest thing in cosmetics right now. Most people feel it says a lot that the first of the mineral make-up products were sold exclusively by dermatologists. Highly respected companies like Neutrogena, Physicians Formula, and MAC have already launched their mineral makeup products.

Some of the common minerals that are used include zinc oxide, ultramarine (found in precious stone lapis lazuli) and titanium dioxide. These minerals are commercially mined from the earth and are finely ground. Since these makeup products are made from natural minerals. The hallmark of these make up products is that they are not fragrant and contain no preservatives or synthetic dyes. This means that mineral makeups are not likely to create allergies or skin reactions. Mineral make up can be used by people having sensitive skin and also by those who have undergone plastic surgery. People with skin conditions like acne, redness, or itchiness can safely use mineral make-up for long periods without any side effects.

No make up is perfect and one of the drawbacks of Natural Mineral Makeup is that they may tend to crack and crust off. In some older women, the wrinkles also show after a while. But if the hypoalergenic nature of mineral makeup is necessary for you, ways can be found to circumvent this problem. Since mineral makeup often comes as loose powder, it can be difficult to carry it around. Some companies have found ingenious ways to solve this problem. Urban legend has made a small pot with an applicator brush. Colorsciences has a retractable brush to carry the loose powder.

Mineral foundation powder is becoming popular with new age women who are not afraid to experiment. Make-up that also has healing properties is quite a winning combination and worth the price tag.
